Leela guide training
For those who want to guide games themselves.
Ask your question and roll the die
Your question doesn't have to be clever. It has to be real. Your token starts on square 68, Cosmic Consciousness: this is where the game begins and where it ends. You enter the game when you roll a six, and from then on the die moves you across the board. On every square you'll find my description and questions to ask yourself.
Your first 5 moves after you enter the game are free. The full game, played to the end, costs €35 and gives you 30 days of access. Please come with a clear head: don't play under the influence of alcohol or any other mind-altering substances.
A conversation with yourself, not with a game
Leela is an ancient game of self-knowledge from India, around two thousand years old. Its rules have barely changed since: a board of 72 squares, a die and your question. Each square stands for a state we all pass through in life: anger, support, postponed happiness, clarity.
It looks simple, yet Leela runs remarkably deep. It doesn't fix anything or hand out advice. It shows you where you are now and where your path is leading, and the answer is yours to find. A game can take twenty minutes or a whole day. You can play on your own, more deeply with a guide, and in a small group it's especially beautiful: everyone brings their own question, and clues often come through other people's games.

Test-drive a decision
Quit your job or stay? Move or not? On the board you can play out both scenarios and feel which one is yours.
See where you get stuck
How you react when things don't go to plan, and where you get in your own way. It's hard to see from the inside, but the game makes it visible.
Leave with a first step
The game ends with one sentence to take back into your life and one concrete action. And for the first 2–4 weeks: no sudden decisions.
Your question doesn't have to be clever. It has to be real
The whole game depends on your question. More than half of the questions people bring me are about purpose, and even that can be asked in different ways.
- Open"Where can I put myself to use right now?" will tell you more than "Will I get this job?"
- About you"How can I stay on my own side in a team?" works better than "Why don't they value me?"
- Specific"Harmony" is about everything and nothing. Ask instead how you can tell that you're well right now.
- In your own words"What kick do I need to get started?" is a great question too.
If a six doesn't come for a while, the die itself hints at how to sharpen your question.

Frequently asked questions
Is this something mystical?
I'm really not into unicorns. Leela shows you how you make decisions: I explain what the square means and ask questions, and you draw your own conclusions.
How can a die know anything?
Honestly, I've stopped trying to explain it, because it works every time. The board responds to the smallest shift in your state: someone is moving along steadily and then suddenly slides down. I ask what happened, and they say: "I got distracted just then."
How long does a game take?
The self-play game on this site takes as long as you need: you can play in several sittings, and your path and answers are saved. An individual game with me usually takes 4–5 hours. Once a game has started, it should be played to the end.
What happens after the game?
The answers keep unfolding for weeks. For the first 2–4 weeks we don't make sudden decisions; we observe. At the end of the game you can send me your path and answers, and I'll personally go through your game.
Online or in person?
Most games take place on Zoom, and we roll the die in Telegram. In person, I play in Geneva and when I travel: I've held games in India and Istanbul.
Who is this not for?
Leela is not a substitute for therapy or medical care. If you are in an acute crisis or taking strong medication, write to me first and we'll decide together.

I'm Ays
I've been guiding Leela since 2021. Before that, I spent 13 years in the UN system, running projects in 12 countries. That work taught me to see the whole picture and find order in what looks like chaos from the inside. In a game I see a player's whole path in the same way, and how the squares add up to an answer.
While still at the UN, I started breathing with colleagues before meetings, and serious people in suits breathed along with me. That's when I understood that the mind needs an anchor in the body. And when my husband and I moved to Brazil with no contract and no plan, my body became my main anchor.
Today more than 800 people have breathed with me. I believe everyone already knows their own answers; they're just buried under other people's expectations. I bring all of myself to the game: a clear mind and a body that never lies.
